Equus 3100 Innova CanOBD2 Diagnostic Tool

Like most people who purchase these devices, I had a "Check Engine" light on in an old Toyota ('96) auto. I followed the directions, used the code reader to identify the problem (a bad oxygen sensor), and was able to effect repairs and cancel the "Check Engine" light. I have since loaned the device to a friend who does a lot of work on cars and trucks of various makes. He seems to have liked it since it took several months to reclaim it. I have never used any other brand of reader so I have no basis of comparison, but for my purposes this device worked as advertised, and was rather easy to use.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do.......have used it on several of my cars and friends cars and so far, it has given me great data.

OBDII scanner is exactly as advertised. I was having trouble with emissions on my 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser, and decided it was time to make the investment in a code scanner. After reading the reviews, I decided on the Equus 3100. The scanner was very easy to use, after reading the codes, I was able to connect the unit to my laptop and read all the supporting data as well. I ended up replacing both pre and post catalytic converter oxygen sensors, which resolved the problem.

I was able to diagnose my problem and make a repair that the mechanic wanted $400 to maybe fix. Use this product with online automotive forums to assist with your repairs. I also reset the codes and hopefully made all the repairs my aunt needed on her van. Easy to use. Great company website.
