Can't Really Go Wrong With Dynamat Extreme
This is my second time using this product and though there may be another product as good or better, Dynamat Extreme does what it advertises.
I mistakenly bought a product I can't even remember the name now but it was cheaper than Dynamat and what a mistake. When it got hot out the 'other' sound dampner fell off the rear deck. When it is cold out it's coming off. Gravity and an inability to stick; total crap. I lined the hood of my trunk with Dynamat Extreme six years ago and it's going to car crusher with the car someday 'cause it ain't never coming off. The other stuff fell off the sides of my trunk as well. I still have a roll of the other stuff left and it will go on the floor where gravity will help it stay in place. Can't stand to waste. The Dynamat is going on the doors where I know it will stay put and do what it advertises. Good stuff. Don't be fooled by cheaper dampner making claims. There's nothing like seeing a hunk of dampner hanging by one corner just about to fall. Dynamat stays in place and dampens. No more rattle, and no hassles.

This stuff actually works!!!
Just finish installing this on the front doors and entire floor of my honda civic, and it is much quieter at highway speeds than before and the music is much louder at the same level before installing!!! great stuff if your looking for quiet ride. plus it easy to install. 2010-04-09

Shhhhh!, Quiet!
Works!, what more can I say. Completely gutted and sound deadened my 2002 Ram Air T/A interior with 36 sheets of DynaMat and two rolls of DynaPad. Much quieter, barely discernible road & exhaust noise. New sound system kicks now with added insulation. Can actually use hands free Bluetooth without having to yell in microphone.
Expensive but worth it now that I installed it. The DynaMat Pro Roller is a must for install.

I Needed more
I own a Dodge Dakota QC......bought 1 box......shipping was just awsome and first thing I noticed was the box was alot smaller than I thought lol X) but I started work on my doors first......its funny cause the doors are hollow so i got the best idea ever and put acoustic treatment inside the door panel! made sure the window has clearance to move and than I put the Dyna mat on......next took out all the seats and Carpet lol lots of work for one person but anyways I only had enough Dyna mat to cover the the first half of my Cab! Dang....so I give it a test drive and let me tell you I have my exhaust cutoff right under the right passenger and its beastly but sometimes annoying.....I start it up and it was weird cause I could only hear behind my seats where i didnt lay any dynamat down....so when i finish laying the rest of it in my truck ill let you guys know how it sounds 2010-03-23

Is it worth the money?
You've heard about this for years. Many shows rave about it. The videos look so easy.
Usually I just use undercoating on the inside of the doors. This time I added the Dynamats to that, because it's an SUV that I'm installing it on. Keep this at room temperature at least. Warmer, just takes longer, but cold this is nasty to apply.
You get nine sheets which is nice. Four covered four doors on a Sportage. After applying the first one kind of like their video, I put it on in section on the other doors. I did use the 1" wooden roller which helped show me where to cut on some parts, but you can get away with just installing it by hand.
It's gummy on aluminum, & conforms real well. So even if you cut out a spot for wiring, you can squeeze it together.
Did I gain any awesome sound deadening? Not really. It still sounds like a truck. That's with the factory sound batting, minus the vapor barrier.
Did it help the speakers system? Yes, it did do that, along with the undercoating I used. I will say that in cranking up the stereo they help the doors not vibrate, which it what this is for. Sound deadening, only if you feel multiple layers reduces noise. I still hear the road/transmission etc. Certainly a bit less.
I tested this fully assembled with the factory stereo (see my video) & it was nicer than with out. More crisp I'd say, than WOW.
It's now under 100 bucks which is nice, but keep in mind the shipping of 21 odd pounds. I will be covering the hood, as well as that open spot on the firewall when things warm up. I'm hoping that will take the brunt of the noise away, but don't think it will till I coat/cover the rear wells & transfer case area under the back seat.
Oh, this is the extreme stuff, wow, not impressed.
Don't use a razor to cut this, you'll zip right across or cut through. Use scissors. Will i use it again? Probably not. Or if I have a door without power accessories, that is flat, & offers no other insulation. For an SUV or truck? No, it's not worth it, you'll have to coat the whole vehicle.
Good luck
