Sylvania DOT-it Silver Self-Adhesive Bright White Silver LED Light

i have a very small closet and bought 4 of these. even in a straight line, side by side, they do not illuminate well. they are dim with a faint glow. too bad, because they are cute and convenient....just don't work as intended!Sylvania 35046 Red and Silver Dot It, Portable LED light, 2-Pack # LED/DOTS/RED/SILV

I purchased a Sylvania Silver on June 7, 2006 (over two years ago at the time of this review) and it's still going strong on the same set of batteries! My wife and I decided to place the unit above our shower stall due to the minimal light available in the area. Although we hardly use it daily, it gets reasonable use and possibly abuse due to the fact that it probably wasn't designed for such an area. Remarkably, the unit has yet to require a change of batteries and the adhesive is still holding strong. Three LEDs are hardly enough to light-up a room, but adequate enough for our shower stall plus the added advantage of it not being able to electrocute us. I can see how the batteries might be difficult to replace but, seeing how little you may need to change them, I consider it a minor design flaw. I highly recommend this product.

I tried to use it on my car trunk but it doesn't stick well, especially in warm temperature. Another not so useful junk in my garage.

This light is bright but not good for general lighting in a closet.
Once stuck on the wall it did not want to come off screwing up our wall.

In case you're wondering whether or not this is for you, this should help. These are great for ACCENT LIGHTING, not bright work lights. They contain daylight LED "bulbs," so they're bluish in color, not a warm yellowish light. I happen to have blue tile countertops in my kitchen, so I bought them to accent some of the wall decorations on one side of the kitchen. For that use they're perfect. As worklights they're simply not bright enough. Also, their adhesive sticky side needs a good firm push onto the surface to which you'll stick them, otherwise they WILL fall. One annoying thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that you have to unstick them to replace the batteries. If you're considering accent lights without the mess of wires, then these are for you. I happen to love them, my wife not so much. Maybe Sylvania will consider making them in white.
