PRODIGY BRAKE CONTROL

This is my secon Prodigy controller. Both work perfect. I thought I had a faulty comtroller, took my pickup and trailer to an expert... turns out the outfit that installed the seven pin hookup forgot to attach the blue trailer brake wire...

Bought this to control the electric brakes on a Coleman Key West with electric brakes. It worked perfectly with very easy setup. Operates very smoothly and more positively than the time based brake controllers. Provides very good diagnostics also.

I also ordered the Tekonsha Ford wiring harness which made hook up to the vehicle wiring very fast. The wiring harness is long enough to reach from the P3 to the After Market Break Controller connector located behind the glove box on a 2002 Ford Explorer.

I would like to see a better mounting option. Possibly a narrower mount in the form a T or something since the Explorer underdash kick panel is curved.

Why fool around with anything less than the best? This stops the trailer perfectly with no fear of wheel lockup. Full manual adjustment and the included DVD is great if you want to fine tune the adjustment. Mine worked perfectly with a 28' Airstream right out of the box with no adjustment. You will likely need the $12 cable to connect it to the harness under the dash.

Can't fully rate it as I have yet to install and use but from looking it over and the documentation provided they are first rate. The quality of the materials looks good.
