Lund 18476 Interceptor Smoke Wrap-Around Bug Shield

Amazon suggested this item for my '07 Silverado but after unpacking and trying to install, it is clearly not intended for my truck. The label on the package states it will fit an 06-07 Silverado so I'm guessing its for the "Classic" body style ONLY on the '07 despite the fact that this additional description was ommitted. On a seperate note, the quality of the item seemed good - so if it fits your truck, I'd recommend it.

My thoughts:
Works like a champ. It doesn't say "Lund" on it anywhere. The edge all around the shield looks a little rough, like it was cut by a coping saw. It's not bad, but I was expecting a more polished edge. It is an OK distance from the hood and it is just flexible enough that I should be able to wash/wax behind it.
(Note: the edge isn't as bad I'm probably making it sound in this review)
How it attaches:
The kit comes with perfect-fitting little plastic fasteners that pop right in to the factory holes under the hood. The shield is then attached to the fasteners using screws. There is no damage to the truck.
Installation:
Have someone help you if possible. I did it by myself, but it was a little awkward. I had to hold the long, odd-shaped shield above my head with one hand and drive screws in with the other hand. I used a plain #2 philips. I didn't use my electric drill because I figured the torque would shred the plastic fasteners.

Fits like a glove to underside of hood front, and installs with ease!
I have a black truck and the shield looks like part of the hood.
Go for it!

I consider myself somewhat mechanically dumb but this shield took literally 5 minutes to install. All you need is a screwdriver. The bug shield stands out and makes my 06 Chevy Silverado look even better. Really adds alot to the look of the truck and seems indestructable! Great product, Great Price!
