Duracell 852-0281-07 DC to AC 100 Watt Inverter & 4.0 Amp/Hour Lithium Ion Mobile Power Source

This is a handy unit since it can charge both small usb devices and provides AC power for laptops or other electronics of similar wattage. I can probably get 45-60 additional minutes out of this with my laptop. I usually keep one in the car to use as an inverter. It seems to work out pretty well. The only concern I have is sometimes my car is left in extreme heat and so I wonder how adversely affected the battery is on this unit.

Good product, it has done all I expected, powered my Dell Latitide D630 for a bit over 2 hours, so that gives me plenty of battery power on the go.
Also since is can work as a inverter with plane and car adapter, it's perfect for me. The 2 USB ports also are great you can charge your phone or any other gadget and laptop, it's great!
If you're looking for a nice product for multiple uses, this is it.

I like that this product uses lithium cells instead of NiMH but, for the price, the Black & Decker CPI100B is better choice, as low as $38.

I got two when Amazon had them on sale for about $50 each. They work well for some devices, but don't work at all with some power hungry laptops like my Dell Inspiron 9400/E1705. This particular laptop has an AC adapter rated at 80 watts. Although still under 100 watts, the device runs for about 1 second then shuts off. There is also no direct DC output from the battery which would have made it more versatile. But, for $50, it's not a bad deal.

This was just what my consultant husband needed to keep his phone and his laptop going, especially since he works often in manufacturing facilities without an outlet handy. Great product!
